Daniel Zohar Zonshine, current Israeli Ambassador to Brazil, is a career diplomat, was Head of Foreign Programs at Mashav and Ambassador to Myanmar (2014-2018).
Prior to that, he served as Consul General in Mumbai, India (2005-2008), and worked in Brasília between 1998 and 2002, in the position of counselor at the Israeli embassy in Brazil.
Zonshine is fluent in Hebrew, English and speaks Portuguese. He holds a master's degree in defense studies from the University of Haifa and a degree in archeology from the University of Bar Ilan.
The ambassador is married to Liora, an artist who graduated in Cinema from the University of Tel Aviv. The couple have three children and two grandchildren.
